More of the wed' prep

here some picture of table decoration... not complitly over but almost there!

i still have 120 of those to do...

we try to play with the light so yo have here how the talbe will be when the groom and he bride will come in the room with other light everywhere...

like the one under.

sorry for the mess in my room ;-)

With all my love and affection

... for this!

Nope we haven't killed someone! even if it look like... yeah i know it really does..  Did i talk about hands made stuff??? well here's one again!!!!

We need some red piece of fabric for something and haven't found one so.. let colored it! except that only our hands get colored!  We try to keep our hands clean (yeah she's a nurse and i'm optician so not really fun to work with red hands ;-) ) so we use lpastic bags top protect them! good idea if we havne't got gloves, hu??? well except if the platic bag in question has a hole in it.... mouahaha! so we finished we red hands! and our fabric not colored just a bit.

Then we needed to make them dry so this time we get really protected (thanks dad for the trashbin bags!) and had fun!

Yeah for hands made decoration!

.

who said it wasn't funny to do that??

I don't know who said it wasn't funny to do a decoration but the things I know is that people think we are crazy to do it... well i agree with the last point....

And if people think we are crazy, let's be crazy!!!!! and let make it fun too! we need to do it, so better do it in joy and happyness! hahaha ;-)

hopefully to be ridiculous never kill anyone...

But... what's that for???

just a thought...

As i was reading my blog again i thought of this... how great and crazy was my life since i started to trust God! up and down of course but imagine that in only 2 year i descovered more than in 20 years! it's like my wings finlay let me fly! feel a way better, he changed so many things in my life.. it's even hard to express the way i feel inside... i'm so glad!

i don't know but if you read back the first text i wrotte, i was so scared, so shy... a long journey as been made but it's not over!

i love looking at the pictures and see how God use me in different ways.. optician, cook, outside worker, friend, housekeeper,  even engeener for few hours!!!

and.. i'm looking forward to see whats' next! i just want to go back to the mission field and work for His glory only!!!! my heart his burning of love for God and i want him to use me and send me!!!

i just found so much love and joy serving God! i't crazy how many people i met, amazing people, beautiful country, different way to live..

i pray God that i will be back in mission soon.. it will be a lie if i say that i haven't someting in mind already  :-)

well only thing left to say is: THANK AMAZING GOD FOR YOUR LOVE, FOR THE ADVENTURE AND THE PEOPLE I MET, FOR THE TRANSFORMATION YOU DID IN ME!!!

I LOVE YOU!!!!!

                  love and affection to all...

challange 2010: expert in wedding deco!

yep the year bearly started but i already found my new challange!

my friend is having her wedding in april and she asked me to do all the decoration! So i hesitated a long time but then i asked one of my friends and.. let's the party started!!! we have 1month and half now to finish it and it's.. BIG!

let me explain.. it's not like a nz wedding or something like that it's more like a huge party all night with a nice diner after the church.. add a "pre-diner " with a lot of people.. so it's three room to decorate!

but we slowly getting there! we already done a lot and made the flower for the tables, kinda find everything for the church, and having a lot of idea for the "pre-dinner"!

it's gonna look amazing! i love trying to do something gorgeous with not a lot of monay because you need to invent, to try different ways, to think a lot and use your hand! (sadly we don't have 4.. would be easier sometimes!)

we just started to plan the day before and the saturday.. think of how we gonna do it to be able to make everything ready on time and then we have somethings we need to place from the church to the dinner so we realized... we gonna rush!!!! o my gosh! but it's gonna be awesome and fun! i'm really excited!

let see a bit of this, hu?

so this is the for the menu. it will be printed on it..

.... the decoration for the middle of the tables ... look nice, hu? love it!

a first idea for the chair of the bride and the groom in the church

As i said we need to do "hand made" stuff so here i try to made an arch for the door of the dinner... it only the beginng of it i'm looking forward to see and show you finished!

.

let it snow.. sight of switzerland..

so we having a really nice and cold, i mean FREEZING, winter! but i enjoy everyday! i love going in da snow and see the beauty of God's creation! it's amazing!
when i see His majestic creation having a white blanket i can't imagine how terrific will be the heaven!
wish everyone of you here, having a big snow fight with me!
send you all my love and affection from a snowy and white country

****HAPPY NEW YEAR!****

Well until pretty much 3pm on the 31th december i didn't know what i should to for new year, only thing a knew : party!!!
so i decided to join some of my friend at a ski camp for people over 20 years it was at about 1h and half from where i work and leaving by 5pm when i finished work i just get on time for the begining of the eveninig : a costume party! well i need to add i would be there earlier if i didn't get lose on my way.. haha! yep it's me!

anyway i spend 3 day in Charmey. arrive and i hopefully knew arelady some peoples but it was interesting to meet people when they were already costumed.. like next i just couldn't reconizeed them!
so we had so much fun! we had a nice dinner and some ativities, then we celebrate the new year out with champagne. and then.... PARTY ALL NIGHT! yeaah! we dance all night and get up.. late! good fun!

then we just hang out arround trying to not fall asleep... hard job!
and suprise it started snowing!!!! but i mean a LOT of snow from 5pm till next day..
after the speech we started play games and i finnaly wanted to go bed.. but my best friend and me were talking and finnaly we decided with an other friend to go... out! yep why not? it's not everyday you can go ou tin adas now woth your friends, hu? should i add it was 2 am??? mmm not wuite sure hahaha!
so we were suppose to go out for a litlle walk just to go in da snow and go bed.. well the little walk anded up by 2 hours and half in a rough cold and snowy night!
felt soooo cool and relaxing! even fell in holiday!
i spend the night teasing my friends saying "hooo it's amazing, it's gorgeous, did you see all this snow? thats crazy!".. they almost killed me!
so we finaly get back home after a long walk.. it was 4.30 am and i was smiling and happy. it was my first best memory of 2010!!!

next morning woke early packed everything, took the snow off my car (was pretty hard job..) and went home leaving behind us a wonderful white world...

well in same times nothing really hapened here!
after the outreach in fiji and the wedding of my sweet havie, i flew back home!

* the trip was a long sade (for the first 15 hours) but then great and funny time! i met one christian girl from auckland and a couple from rotorua. the four of us were going to switzerland with the same flight so we travel together!
I had to spend the night at Icheon, Korea. i was expected a simple hotel but i stayed into i huge 5 stars hotel!! something complitly crazy!! i slept in king size bed! believe me, after a ship cabin, the room and the bed look HUGE!
we had a lot of fun in da next flight and took even the same train to village! God is funny sometimes. *

* in october i spend my birthday with my best friend in the same girl i met in the plane. thanks again for all the birthday wishes... we had lunch together and then i got a tea time surprise with an other friend! was so nice and simple. love it! now i feel ooold.. 22 babe! lol
it was a nice warm day with loveing friend *

* i saw kutless and some other good band at a christian festival!! amazing! *

* in november with my youth group we decided to cook for the chruch a lunch i rise money for the trip in togo.
i was in charged of the the cooking and pretty much all of the day actually! it was good, feel like i was back on board except i had to cook for 120 people!!!
i had a busy week preparing the meal.. we cooked with some friend the saturday night and were busy till 1am cutting chicken, ognons, making potatoes gratin.. something really new for them and "strange amye even crazy!" :-)
anyways the next day everything goes super well and everyone got some food and really appraciate the meal... i was happy of this challange but exhausted at the end of the day! *

* End of november i got a gala with my job! all dressed up for the occasion and party all the night! cocktails, DJ, good food.. everything for an amazing party!*

*as december arrived, party, celebration and winter arrived as well!
let started by a paperball fight durng a family reunion for st nicolas. all of us started even the grand parents! lol...
Dinner out for the end of the year with my job, then jonas ' job and when you think it over, well... first christmas arrive!!!!
so you celebrate christmas with first part of the family and then the youth group, then the church after that you have on week to stop and fast lol and you start again!
during this time snow shows his nose and cover the entire village! beautiful white "duvet" all around the house! mmm like it!
last week before christmas... working even more because of christmas market in town, staying at work till 9pm.. nice christmas atmosphere... hot wine, music, snow..
then you put the christmas tree out and decorated it, put the gifts under and you definitly feel at christmas time! like if the 2 weeks before you didn't really feel like it!
day off... mmmm sounds good! you think christmas is relaxing quiet? nope not really! well at least until you spend an amazing and funny night with your family around the christmas tree next to a fire in the chimney (with a good cup of tea and some biscuits and chocolate of course!) ! that is relaxing and Good!
and then you chill out until work start again before new year!
five days after.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! and party again!!! this will never end?? lol*

what about me?

so what was actually my job there?

well, here's how a patient was going through our team.

He first needed to go to the registration get a number, give the information about him and why he needed to see us.

then went through the visual acuity. from here he would go to different point dependant of what he needed.. if he just needed reading glasses -> reading glasses, if he needed more than that -> mike for a complete check up and prescrition.

once the prescrition done, he come to me and i would enter the prescription in my computer to find the perfect match in the 2000 prescritpions glasses we have. well the perfect theory would be that we will have theperfect glasses for everyone... sadley nope! so i look and look again sometimes, check over 5 or 6 different glasses to find the best one.. go back to me who gave me  some crazy prescription that i new i would never find in my boxes.. a long work sometimes really frustrazing because we have all the information to have the perfect galsses to help the person but not the perfect glasses.. so sometimes it was hard to not be albe to help them the way i wanted to!

but there were as well some good point and goos end! sometimes i need to "make" the perfect glasses! what do i mean? well few exemple:

 - a person needed a glasses with a power of +2.0 on a side and nothing on the other.. of course we didnt' fnd anything close enough! so.... i just took off on of the lens!!

- the other person had a blind eyes but this eye blured his vision so i decided to try something. i took a peace of taoe and put it on the lens of the blind eye. then the vision was really improve! the glasses looked really funny with a red patch on them but it worked!!!

NabouWalu let's the party started!

the optometric team:
Seta (translator, fiji), Mike (NZ optometrist), me (optician), Lepani (fiji), Jens (germany), Rina (fiji), Russel (Australia), Arnoud (nederland), Jenny, Sandy (NZ)....

we started the week by three days at the hospital.
the first one was challanging because we needed to organized for the first time the room and train the team... we had so many people coming to see us that we were inda really busy!! the room was full and we didn't know when it will stopped!
we get more organized the other days and let just few people in the room in same times... more quiet and peaceful!

it was just amazing and very different! using my job to help and serve GOd! Just a dream coming true..

at the begining it was kinda stressfull because we needed to adjust, to find the way to work between mike and me but then we had a lot of fun..

sometimes we had just 15 minuts break beforestarting again but honestly,  i would have done that again and again if it needed.. all those people needed glasses and i'm excited to have done the best of me for them!

best of me? well ok.. i need to say that the first day i was not complitely with the team, with GOd.. He did need to re-focus me on why i was there! i was kinda focus on the country on my picture i had of fiji, of the outreach and the fact it wasn't the same once here... o i pray and give all to God, then trhough all of the weeks God give me smile and surprise about that..

they were so many people ad the nurse from the hospoital were impress the we will see all of them... to be honest i didn't know how we would see them all.. we see 80 people the first day, and between 60 and 70 the next  two days!!!

ENCOURAGMENT: but God provide and encourage, give strengh when we need! i had the song which says " the joy of the lord is my strenght" during the all outreach...  our favorite song was "ou are my strength" and we had encouragement from people we saw! the director of the clinic said to Andy that he was impress and encouraged to see the way we treat people, each one of them like he or she was the first of the day. With love, respect and joy... He really saw God through that... AMEN!

.

Nabouwalu outreach 1

well it's been already 2 weeks that i'm in switzerland and still didn't writte anything about Nabouwalu... wooops! so as promise here i start..

i arrive in fiji on the 27th of july... the first week as i may already wrote i just sorted out things, clean and organise a little bit the glasses and the optometrist boxes.
i really anjoy being in Suva! what a nice city! I specially learn to know the ambassy ( hehe.. o visa..) but really enjoy walk around!

Then, the real advanture started!!!! the team came in and we sail on friday!
24 hours of sail.. i don't know if the sail was bad or if my pills didn't work but i get sick twice... ( yep i was sure to et sick but twice is not to bad!!!!)
i enjoy anyway the freedom to be at sea and the peace we can feel when nothing is arround... get wet, i mean complitly wet! you may say why were you on the bow sitting at the very front of the ship?? because it's the most amazing place to be on sail! you feel so free, so peaceful... it's hard to explain what i feel when i'm there but it really amazing and exiting!
but all the waves get smash on the front too and big waves = aline wet!

anyway we arrived safe in vanua levu in the morning and docked next to an other ship. docking was pretty exiting! i think for both side! we were all on the side looking at the ship docking and ashore they were as well all waiting for us, lookinjg what was going on..

as soon as we docked i went ashore and played with the kids, had a tour of the village... was beautiful! I was looking forward to really start on monday!

lay it down jaci Velasquez

well this song means even more for me.. and it make me think of someone, i want to writte it to this person... i think it just good to remember that we can do anything else except lay it down and trust God!? this song express a bit of what i have in my heart and i want to sing it for God until i can all lay it  down at the cross...

thanks for listening to me all the time for carried me when i fall for breaking the chain and set me free.. you make me breath again and hope.. i will lay it down to you cause i know your love will be enough.. i know you hold me in your hands!

I've been lookin' till my eyes are tired of lookin'
Listenin' till my ears are numb from listenin'
Prayin' till my knees are sore from kneelin' on the bedroom floor
I know that you know that my heart is achin'
I'm running out of tears and my will is breakin'
I don't think that I can carry the burden of it anymore
All of my hopes and my dreams and my best laid plans,
Are slowly slippin' through my folded hands

Chorus:
So I'm gonna lay it down
I'm gonna learn to trust You now
What else can I do?
Cause everything I am depends on You
And if the sun don't come back up
I know Your love will be enough
I'm gonna let it be, I'm gonna let it go,
I'm gonna lay it down.

Verse:
I've been walkin' through this world like I'm barely livin'

Buried in the doubt of this hole I've been diggin'
But You're pullin' me out
I'm finally breathin' in the open air

This room may be dark but I'm finally seein'
There's a new ray of hope, and now I'm believin'
That the past is past, and the future's beginning to look brighter now
Oh, cause all of my hopes and my dreams and my best laid plans
Are safe and secure when I place them in Your hands.

Chorus:
So I'm gonna lay it down
I'm gonna learn to trust You now
Oh what else can I do,
Cause everthing I am depends on You
And if the sun don't come back up
I know Your love will be enough
I'm gonna let it be, I'm gonna let it go

lay it down Nichole Nordeman

To every son and daughter
Wayward and long gone
The love of a Father will leave the light on

I tried to throw you off track
A needle in the haystack
And I don't know how you found me
Or why you let me come back
Cuz it's a long way home when all you're left to carry
Is a heart of stone
And the weight of most the world
And I'd like to

Lay it down a little
Lay it down a lot
I don't want to hold it anymore
Lay it down in pieces or
Lay it down in whole
Everything I've carried on my own
Lay it down

I spent your money
Living on the fringes
But you threw a party for me
Invited all your big friends
And i have learned a little bit about a heavy load
All that gleams and glitters is not worth its weight in gold
And I know I should

i love the chorus.. speak to me.. i know tat what i need to do but it's so hard!!!

no more chain, Nichole Nordmann

those two songs just touch my heart this past few weeks...

it just speak to me through what i go and make feel peaceful when i hear them so i wanted to share with you.. you can go on youtube to hear them as well...

How did I get locked up inside?
What’s this that renders me paralyzed?
I lost myself in small pieces
It happened over time

I traded love for a heavy chain
Another link every other day
I pulled it up and down a mountain
It made me want to say…

No more chains
No more chains
Big and small, watch them fall away
No more chains
Big and small, watch them fall away

I wonder now if the choice was mine
The door was open, I walked inside
Nobody had my arm twisted
Nobody made me stay

The face of freedom can show up small

A tiny crack in a prison wall
A song that rises up from silence

A voice that wants to say…

I should let you give me wings
I should let you set me free

samedi 18 juillet 2009

let's the dream come true!

as i said, for me, to find a job was to say goodbye to all of my dream of travel as a missionnary!
well God as a better plan and can make everything true..

i talk to my boss about my desire to go in fiji as an optician... he said that i would think of it!
then when i gave him the date i had only the outreach num 5... i wanted to go on the 6 for some reasons.. as God made my heart ready to do this one and when my boss said that i wanted the date, i received an email from marine reach says that they had a place for me on outreach 6!
at this point, i didn't wanted to give him those date as well cause i was scared to ask "to much"...
finaly i said both date and my boss gave me the number 6! it was better for him! gosh! God knows everything!

but that not the end of the story! i wanted as well going to havie's wedding in nz but it was in september so i was pretty sure that i couldn't. I give it noce again to God and said that it was ok if i wasn't going. After talking with my parents they said it yould never happened and it would be so much money for nothing...

so i though came! why not doing both in same times?? well it seems impossible but i tried!

i asked my boss if it yould be possible to do both and je said... YES!!!!!

oh my gosh i was so excited you can imagine!!!! God knows everything and He is good and a loveing God! yes He hs a special plan for your life but he knows our dream and work with as well!

so never forgot your dream, just put them in God's hands!!!

flashback : back in switzerland

after one month in StCroix, where we saw God provides for us in multiple ways, we went back n switzerland, back in our family after 6 and 7 months away from home!

without any money, i keep trusting God and wait for new direction. it wasn't easy, a lot of dream in my mind but no money... i needed a job ASAP! well some of you may know that i was scared to find a new job, start something and keep me away from mission...
but i had this time one big motivatin: coming back in nz! it was so strong that i found my first job 2 days after being back home! working in the vignoble for my uncle. it was hard... not only physicly, but i was still really tired with the jet-lag, my luggage wasn't unpacked and it was FREEZING COLD!!!! but i did!

i think God really help through my second re entry.. it wasn't easy but He gaves me a new confidence in me and in him.

after that fisrt job i found litte job like cooking for my grand mother, baby sitting, housekeeping... and send more than 30 letters for different job!

i finally saw God's hand and found a job as an optician in morges! i could find everywhere else but no! 10 minute away from home! the shop where i work is really good.. funny, i never dare to apply there coz i found the shop to high standing for my and my qualification.. now i'm working there and everything is good!
i start working again for my youth group which was really depressif! gosh it's not easy to help teeneager to grow with God!

well that a bit of my life in switzerland..

.

St- Croix part 3

after cleaning some area of the base, we start our project!
without asking each other we both thought doing something on the base like a "print" of our quick journey here.
it was as well a way to say thanks to all of them and create something where the futur people, DTS students, could come and be with God.
we easly decided where we wanted to do it and started by draw the project, pray about it to give all of it to God and be leading by him!

then we start the hard work!!
we cleaned the area (which was a lot of work!!), cut trees, make the hole for the cross, carried big rocs (the road keep tha mark of it! and we had a lot of fun to find a way how to carried them! thanks mark for the good idea!), put the small rocs to make a path...

then we put a banch, some flowers, a huge rock to put your bible on and the cross!
it looks great and i found this area really peacfull (like the all base!)

in this adventure i lost two fingers! hehe! one between two huge rocks, and the other... well.. thanks jonas! ;-) ahaha!
i will put some picture later to show you how it looks like!

St-Croix part 2

well donc even think that i only enjoy the beaches, and did nothing! ;-)
we, of course, worked!

the next three weeks we work half of the time and enjoy the island the other half...
we start by cleaning the gate arround the propriety.. a loooong gate! lol well it was really different thatn cooking and i had rough time at the beginning, hehehe... but i gave all of me! as you can see... we used machetti, some of you know that i like machetti! :-)

then when it was clean and beautiful, we help to do the big cleaninng of the base for the next team to arrived.. well i can say that a base is bigger to clean than a ship! that's for sure! i help to made one or two meals, clean few rooms and he rubbish outside of the propriety and others things..

oh, we cleaned the van as well! like in the DTS :-)

when we had finished with all of that we started our "project"!
it was so much fun to do it because it was our from the beginning till the end!
we did a prayer area... i will show you some pictures and explain all of it later cause it's bed time right now!!

even if for some of yu it's actually time to wake up and start the day!

Lot of love from switzerland

Flash back 1: march

well to start with the begining! right after i left you, i want to St-Croix island which is in the carrabean to see jonas for his graduation and then work for three weeks! ( for the ywam website)
i met a lot of awesome people and new friends.

i spend the first week doing almost nothing which was hard after working on board and i felt fast bored.. even if i enjoyed the pool and the beautiful area!

then we had graduation, we had fun arround a huge fire!
i finaly met TJ, Mark, Hannah and all of jonas DTS mates! it was so great! all of them are just amazing and i'm glad to have met them..
i have been welcomed like never before (except of course in nz!!) and i really felt part of the family and the base as soon as i was there! THANKS SO MUCH Mark, Tj, Ligia, Cherylin and all of you!

i descoverd the island and saw iguana for the first time in my life! saw amazing beaches, fowers, did snorkeling and saw amazing fishes, ate delicious coconuts...
i saw God moved in my life and blessed me again, provide for us in amazing and funny way!

where am i now??

that is the question...
well i'm back in switzerland since already 3months! well time goes fast... really..

Since one month i'm working in shop in morges (clic here to see morges!) as an optician. it was really from God! some of you know that i wasn't sure to stay as an optician and i really wanted to keep going with mission and it was hard to take the decision to ask for a stable job (i just want to go back now in nz or somewhere else) but i need money anyways and i have a way to kinda bless people i love wit gifts, boxes, mails and other that i haven't before.
as i said it's really from God because first i like my new shop, my colleagues and the style of shop! it's really like me! we are here for the customers and not for money, i mean we take time with them, listen to them and give them the best. It's a small shop, and we have a lot of fun! i can ask all of my questions, and try to learn more, simply...

and then, because my boss gave me holidays to g in fiji with y0u guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God is so good.. he gave me both : my dream and provide for a good job with a boss aparently open for those kind of travel!!

so that where i am right now few weeks before going in fiji!
but i guess u need a little flash back on the past few months.. so read the next topics!!

Just For You My Friends...
